Shifting identities almost as easily as he shifts sounds, Andrew Weatherall has slipped through the shadows of the music world over the past two decades like a masked marauder, leaving his mark on all he passes by.

As a remixer he has enhanced – or just as often twisted beyond recognition – a motley crew of musical freaks, kooks and wronguns too numerous to mention.

Any attempt to provide a truly representative sample of his remixing work would quickly sprawl beyond recognition, but here is a very personal choice of some of his key moments, highlighting particular themes that have run throughout his careering career.
